Phasmophobia is a 4-player online co-op psychological horror game developed by Kinetic Games. The game has been out on PC for about four years and gets overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. Now it is finally bringing its ghost-hunting horror to PS5 and PSVR2.
A post made yesterday on the official Phasmophobia X account says that Kinetic Games is preparing to launch on PS5 and PSVR2 this Halloween.
Phasmophobia was released about four years ago on PC and has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. Now PS5 and PSVR2 players can experience what PC Gamer called “A truly terrifying psychological online co-op ghost hunting experience.”
In the game, you and your friends can hunt ghosts across 10 different haunted locations using ghost-hunting equipment like video cameras and EMF readers. There are over 20 unique ghost types in the game each with their own traits and personalities.
Don’t have any friends, or don’t have friends brave enough to face terror head-on? No problem, you can play solo or matchmaker online. The developers have said that crossplay will be enabled, so there should be no problem trying to find people to hunt ghosts with.
Kinetic Games haven;t yet announced a firm release date for Phasmophpbia on PS5 and PSVR2. Only that it will be released this Halloween. So stay tuned for more updates.
