Renowned game journalist and insider Jeff Grubb has again re-iterated that he thinks a PlayStation Showcase will happen in May or before Summer Games Fest.

Speaking on his Games Mess Morning show on Twitch Jubb says that the next PlayStation showcase will happen in May. “I would probably safely say that’s May at this point,” Grubb said. But in an effort to be a bit more general with his predictions, he also said “In general, I’m going to continue saying before Summer Game Fest.”

Grubb then ended by saying May “or very early June.”

The last major PlayStation Showcase, which is usually a bigger affair than the more frequent State of Play broadcasts was in September 2021. This is when Sony revealed God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

PlayStation and Insomniac Games have yet to show off any gameplay from Spider-Man 2. The sequel to PS4’s Spider-Man is supposed to release later this year.

There is also Naughty Dogs The Last of Us Multiplayer game which the developer has said they will share more details about this year.

We’ll know in the coming weeks if Sony is actually holding a PlayStation showcase this year.
