The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners developer SkyDance Interactive has announced that a sequel to their awesome VR game is coming. The developer posted a few days ago that the adventure will continue with a new standalone game called Chapter 2: Retribution.”
Skydance isn’t calling this new game a sequel as such. But they revealed that the game will be a standalone title that continues the story of the original game. In The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (2020), players assumed the role of The Tourist. A bad-ass survivor of the zombie apocalypse.
In Chapter 2: Retribution, Skydance confirmed that players will once again step into the shoes of The Tourist. There will be more physics-based carnage in the new game, which will also be set in post-apocalyptic New Orleans. The game will likely take place in New Orleans’ French Quarter, which was alluded to in the first game.
“Along the way, players will encounter new characters and face new threats as they make gut-wrenching choices that will determine their fate,” Skydance Interactive said in a press release.
There’s no word yet on when The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2: Retribution will launch. However, Skydance said it will have more news later this year.
I am really hoping that Chapter 2: Retribution makes its way to PS VR2. Braining Walkers and exploring New Orleans with the PS VR2’s enhanced visuals and haptic feedback would be sublime.
