Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has just released, I took delivery of my Medusa Edition earlier today and immediately got stuck into this amazing new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. One of the first things I did was look for any secrets or puzzles that are similar to Papyrus Puzzles from Origins. Thankfully there is some new puzzles to solve in Odyssey, they are called Ainigmata Ostraka, and they look like stone tablets.
Ainigmata Ostraka seem to be pretty much the same as Papyrus Puzzles, you find the clue in the form of the stone tablet, find the location from the clue and then find the treasure.

Where to find the Ashes to Ashes Ainigmata Ostraka
The Ashes to Ashes Ainigmata Ostraka can be found in Marko’s Vineyard, which you will visit early on in the game.
When in Marko’s Vineyard, use Ikaros, your helpful bird companion, to locate a large two-story barn looking building on the east side of the vineyard.
Once Ikaros has located the barn, keep Ikaros in stationery mode until he finds the location of the Ainigmata Ostraka within the barn, it will show as a small document type icon, as shown in the screenshot above.
Set a marker at this location and then head to the barn.
Once you are inside the barn, climb to the second floor and you will find the Ainigmata Ostraka, which looks like a stone tablet, next to a large opening.
Ashes to Ashes solution and location
The text from Ashes to Ashes reads:
When times are bad, it can be easy to turn away from the Gods. Goto the Burned Temple in Kausos Village, in the Curse Valley of Pali. I can be found in a pile of burning ashes, where a worshipping man left his post to begin his new life as a pirate.
Kausos Village can be found on the eastern part of the Kephallonia Islands, in the Cursed Valley of Pali.
From the main synchronisation point in the area, head south towards the village. Once you have reached the village you should notice a burnt out temple, enter the temple and you will find the burning pile fo ashes.
Interact with the ashes to solve the Ainigmata Ostraka puzzle.
On solving the puzzle, you should recieve a new engraving.
