Hunting down and solving the Papyrus Puzzles is just one of the many fun activities in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This post will cover the solution to the Twin Despair Papyrus Puzzle.
The Twin Despair hidden papyrus can be found in the Temple of Khonsou in Herakleion Nome. The temple is located on an island thing pretty much in the center of Herakleion Nome, it is one of the largest buildings and should be fairly easy to locate.

Once you are in the Temple of Khonsou, head to the east of the building. The hidden papyrus can be found on a table in between two, brightly coloured pillars.
Once you’ve collected the Twin Despair papyrus now comes the fun part, solving the cryptic clue and locating the hidden treasure.
The Twin Despair cryptic clue reads: “In Herakleion Nome, East of the temple of Khonsou, is a village that is more water than land. Behind two houses with different problems, one whose feet are always wet, and the other who can’t cover his head, you can find me sitting under a tree.”
This is a pretty cryptic clue indeed, the only village I could think o f that was “more water than land” is Yw Huts, this village is indeed east of the temple. Yw Huts has a fast travel point, if you’ve synchronised it simply fast travel there or find out on the map and place a marker.
Once you have travelled to Yw Huts call on your trusty companion Senu to help locate the two houses mentioned in the clue. As per the clue, you are looking for two houses, one that is partially submerged (one who’s feet are always wet) and one without a roof (the other who can’t cover his head). These two houses are next to each other and there is a tree behind them, this tree is where the treasure is located. You should get something good from this Papyrus, I got 92 quality Legendary Dual Sword called Storm Blades.
As always, I’ll be posting more Assassin’s Creed Origins Papyrus Puzzle guides whenever I come across them. Feel free to check out the Papyrus Puzzle guides I have posted previously.
