After being knocked off of the top spot in both the all-formats and PS5 UK boxed charts last week by Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Astro Bot has landed firmly on his feet and back in his rightful place at the top of the charts.
Astro Bot launched on September 6th on PS5 and it immediately took the number one place in the UK all-formats and PS5 boxed charts, a chart that tracks physical game sales in the UK. However, the following week Astro was overtaken by Space Marine 2. Astro Bot ended up in fourth place in the all-formats chart and second place in the PS5 chart.
But that has all changed this week, as GFK’s chart data shows Astro Bot is back on top of both charts.
In the all-format chart, Astro Bot gains three places and is back at number one. Knocking Space Marine 2 down to second. In the all-formats chart, Astro Bot is also besting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Star Wars Outlaws and Minecraft.
The PS5 boxed chart shows a similar story with Astro Bot back at number one beating out Space Marine 2, Star Wars Outlaws, The Witcher 3 Compete Edition and Funko Fusion.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Re-Enters the PS5 Boxed Chart Top 10
In other exciting UK boxed chart news, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has re-entered the PD5 top 10 at number 8. Insomniac Games Spider-Man sequel which launched last year has now spent an incredible 50 weeks in the PS5 chart.
In the all-formats chart, Spider-Man 2 is still going strong. This week it has only dropped three places to number 23.
