The Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris teaser trailer has been revealed at Paris Games Week today and it has already got the hype train steaming along in the Destiny community.
The trailer opens with Ikora standing in the tower telling us that on Mercury, a gate has opened up and that an army of past and future machines (The Vex) have amassed and that they intend to re-shape the universe in their image.
We are then introduced to Osiris, a warlock who uses Dawnblade, who we are now seeing in Destiny for the first time. Ikora explains that Osiris was her mentor and that Osiris has glimpsed this dark future that The Vex intend to create. Ikora goes on to tell us that Osiris is the most notorious Guardian ever and that once, his dangerous ideas almost destroyed us and he was banished.
But now Osiris has returned and Ikora poses the question, will Osiris be our ally or will he bring us death?
We then see some footage of Guardians in battle against the Vex machines and Ikora tells us that we are the one thing that they have not foreseen. From what Ikora says in the trailer next, it would seem that the story of Curse of Osiris will revolve around us going to Mercury, finding Osiris and putting a stop to the Vex Machines plans.
Over on the Activision blog, they detail some other cool features that are coming with the Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris expansion. This new expansion will bring an all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters, a new destination to explore, Mercury and its Infinite Forest, a new social space at the Lighthouse as well as new strikes new raid content, patrol missions, a world quest and more.
The Curse of Osiris DLC is due to be released across all platforms on December 5th.
