It’s Friday and that means that Xur is back in town for his first visit to the worlds of Destiny 2 since Warmind launched. The power level of the gear he is selling has been upped to 342 and he has the new nightfall challenge cards which are called Five of Swords for some reason.
So where is Xur lurking this week?

This week Xur is hiding out on Nessus. He’s in his usual tree. Let’s take a look at what he’s selling this week.
Xur’s Inventory
Item | Type | Power Level | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Prometheus Lens | Trace Rifle | 342 | 29 Legendary Shards |
Knucklehead Radar | Hunter Helmet | 342 | 23 Legendary Shards |
Vesper of Radius | Warlock Chest Armour | 342 | 23 Legendary Shards |
Ashen Wake | Titan Gauntlets | 342 | 23 Legendary Shards |
Fated Engram | Engram | 300 | 97 Legendary Shards |
Three of Coins | Consumable | N/A | 31 Legendary Shards |
Five of Swords | Challenge Card | N/A | N/A |

The weapon on sale this week is Prometheus Lens. You may remember this from Curse of Osiris launch when it was extremely overpowered and just totally melting people in crucible. Sadly, it has been nerfed since then but it’s still not bad. Prometheus Lens has the intrinsic perkcalled Prismatic Inferno which fires a solar trace beam and generates a damaging heat field that grows while the weapon continues to fire.
For Hunters Xur is selling Knucklehead Radar. This exotic helmet has the intrinsic perk called Upgraded Sensor Pack which provides radar while aiming, which is probably good for most things except the new competitive PvP and Trials since radar is removed completely.
For Warlocks Xur has on sale Vesper of Radius and exotic chest armour. Vesper of Radius has the intrinsic perk called Planetary Torrent which allows you to download movies and music for free while you are on any planet. Actually it makes Warlock rifts release an arc shockwave when cast and rift energy recharges faster when you are surrounded by enemies.
For Titan’s Xur is selling the all new Ashen Wake exotic gauntlets which have released with the Warmind expansion. These gauntlets actually look pretty good and they have the intrinsic perk called Bring the Heat which makes fusion grenades explode on impact and gives you increased throw speed.

New with the release of the Warmind is Nightfall Challenge Cards called Five of Swords which Xur has available. The don’t cost anything but you can only hold one per week.
The Challenge Card enables modifiers in Nightfall Strikes on Prestige Difficulty. More challenging modifiers apply larger score multipliers. This replaces a Rare Challenge Card in your inventory.
Also on sale by Xur this week is the usual Fated Engram, an engram which grants you an exotic not already in your collection. And there is also Three of Coins, which can be used to increase the chance of exotic engram drops from various activities.
