Far Cry 6 Officially Revealed, Trailer and Screenshots Inside

Prepare for some guerilla warfare in Yara

After being cheekily leaked and then confirmed by Ubisoft, Far Cry 6 has been officially unveiled.

The World Premiere trailer for Far Cry 6 was shown at the end of the Ubisoft Forward live event, which took place earlier today. Check it out below.

The trailer shows the main antagonist of the game, El Presidente Anton Castilo with his son Diego. The trailer shows Castilo making his son precariously hold a live grenade as they walk to a rooftop. Where unhappy citizens seem to be partaking in some civil unrest.

With the trailer and subsequent details released by Ubisoft, there is a bit more accurate information on the upcoming game.

Far Cry 6 takes place in Yara an Island Nation and Tropical Paradise which is frozen in time and undergoing a revolution.

From one of the screenshots, which shows an old, 1950’s style American car. You can tell that Yara is possibly a fictional representation of Cuba.

Far Cry 6 gameplay

No gameplay footage of Far Cry 6 has been shown yet, but from the official screenshots, we can get an idea of what the open world will be like.

In the screenshot above you can see what some fo the open world will look like. This particular image looks like it is taken in a Jungle or countryside area. With wooden fences and run-down shacks and huts. You can also see a plane in the distance, looking like it’s doing some crop-dusting.

There is also a horse in the foreground, so maybe there will be horse riding as well as vehicle driving in Far Cry 6.

You can also see what looks like a weapon, which is being held by the player’s character.  The weapon looks very similar to the thing that was shown in the Cinematic Title Sequence Trailer.

Perhaps it is some kind of weapon that emits poisonous gas or maybe just a flamethrower?
