The Gardens Between (2022)

The Gardens Between is an adventure puzzle game from The Voxel Agents in which players manipulate time to guide two best friends through a surreal world of mysterious garden islands.

On a stormy night that will change fate forever, best friends Arina and Frendt awaken in a mysterious world of intricate islands, each peppered with mementos of their childhood together. At the peak of each island, constellations of precious memories erupt in the night sky, compelling the duo to reflect on their friendship and come to terms with what the future holds.

Manipulate time to help Arina and Frendt reach each island’s apex. Reveal the path ahead by moving time forward and back to remove obstacles and change the terrain. Interact with old game consoles, fishing pails, and other mementoes from their lives, together painting a picture of their time together. Each island overcomes poignantly reminds Arina, Frendt, and the player of youth’s joy, pain, and time’s inevitable passage.
