Gran Turismo 7 and Beat Saber are coming to PS VR2

Sony’s CES 2023 press conference perhaps wasn’t as heavily focused on PS VR2 as we had hoped, but nonetheless, PlayStation chief Jim Ryan did give us a couple of exciting game announcements for the upcoming VR headset. Namely, Gran Turismo 7 and PSVR favourite Beat Saber will be heading to PS VR2.

Gran Turismo 7 is coming to PS VR2 at Launch

One of the most exciting announcements made at Sony’s CES 2023 press conference was that Gran Turismo 7 will be coming to PS VR2 at launch. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said during his speech that the VR version of the real driving simulator will be a free update.

However, Mr Ryan did not state whether the full game would be playable in VR or if it would be just a mode of sorts, much like GT Sport. But I guess we will find out more info ahead of the PS VR2 launch on February 22nd.

In other Gran Turismo news, we also get a glimpse of some footage from the new Gran Turismo movie. The movie tells the true story of a skilled teenage Gran Turismo player who becomes a real racing driver. The film sounds like it will be loads of fun and is expected to hit cinemas on August 11th this year.

Beat Saber is coming to PS VR2

Popular PSVR rhythm and music game Beat Saber will also be coming to PS VR2 Jim Ryan said during his CES speech. Not much more information was given on the Beat Saber PS VR2 version. It likely won’t be a launch title and we don’t know if it will be a free upgrade for PS4/PSVR owners. But more information will be shared in the near future.
