Little Adventure on the Prairie Review

Terrible game. Quick, easy and cheap platinum trophy.

I’ve played some pretty terrible games in my time but Little Adventure on the Prairie has to be one of the worst. It reminds me of those flash games from the early 2000’s with garbage animation, that’s how bad it is.

Little adventure on the Prairie is quite clearly a Platinum trophy cash grab game, it is really, really bad but has a very easy platinum trophy which can be earned in about 30 minutes, or even less. That’s the only reason I got this game, for the quick and easy platinum.

Little Adventure on the Prairie Review

In Little Adventure on the Prairie your character is some guy with green hair who seems to have a constant smile on his face, and he carries a sword to bash the rediculously easy monsters with.

The game takes place, umm, on a prairie I presume. There are 3 stages, each with four levels. You get a trophy for completing each level and a trophy for completing each stage.

Each stage looks a bit different, one with grass, one with dirt or sand and one with more grass but they look equally as bad. The environment such as clumps of grass on the ground have clearly just been copied and pasted.

While moving through each level, your character will encounter various monsters, who are slightly different looking for each stage. The monsters are pretty easy to defeat, hence youcan finish this game in less than 30 minutes. Although they will take your health down if you stand too close. The monsters won’t move forward after a certain point it seems, so the trick is to just move to the correct distance from the monsters and press square to bash them until they dissapear.

There is no sound effects in this game, no sound when the monsters are on-screen, no sound of you swishing your sword and no sound when you smack a monster in the face. There is some background music which is alright I guess.

And that’s really all the game entails, walk through each level, kill some monsters with your sword, walk forward some more, maybe jump, pick up some power-ups by walking over them, these power-ups replenish some health or give you extra damage or extra defense, then walk some more, kill some more monsters and that’s that.

Did I mention jumping? Yes, you can actually jump in this game although the jump animation looks like the character is being pulled upwards by some strings. You can’t jump over mosnters though and jumping over parts of the environment to move forward in the level often means getting stuck.

The game is not all bad though, well actually it is but it is very cheap at only £1.29 and it has a very easy platinum trophy.

If you’re looking for an easy, quick platinum then this game is ideal although you will have to suffer through about 30 minutes of terrible gameplay for that.
