Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Will Get A Standalone PS5 Release This Month

Will be a $10 upgrade for owners of the PS4 game or $49.99

The remastered version of PS4’s Marvel’s Spider-Man is to get a standalone release on PS5 later this month the PlayStation Blog has revealed.

Spider-Man Remastered was originally bundled in with the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales. But later this month it will become available for purchase on the PlayStation Store as a standalone game.

Owners of the original Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4, whether disc or digital will be able to upgrade to the PS5 remastered version for $10. If you only own Spider-Man Miles Morales you can still upgrade tot he Miles Morales Ultimate Edition to access Spider-Man Remastered.

If you don;t own any of these games, you will be able to buy the game for $49.99. The PlayStation Blog did not state what the GBP or Euro price would be but it should be about £39.99 – £49.99 I would expect.

Spider-Man Remastered for PS5 features many graphical enhancements, including ray-traced reflections. The city environment and character models have also had an overhaul. You also get three new suits for Spidey to wear.

The announcement of Spider-Man Remastered being sold as a standalone game comes as fans are eagerly awaiting more news on the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The sequel is still pencilled in to release in the Autumn of this year but Insomniac Games has yet to show any gameplay footage or give any further information about the game.
