Mudder Thumb Grips Review

Essential thumb grips to customise your controller and provide extra sensitivity and accuracy

Ever since I first tried thumb grips on my DualShock 4 I can’t use a controller without them. The extra ‘feel’, accuracy and sensitivity you get from using thumb grips on the DualShock 4 analog sticks is far superior to using bare thumb sticks.

I normally use Orb thumb grips, you can get a pack of 2 pairs, one domed pair and one concave pair for under £5.00. I was looking for some different coloured thumb grips to brighten up and customise my  controller a bit when I stumbled across Mudder Silicon Thumb Stick Grips on Amazon. They looked good and got some great reviews and they where cheap so I bought a pack, here’s the review.

Usability

Mudder Thumb Grips are made from durable silicon and feel great when playing. I tested mine out on a few games of Destiny 2 crucible and they certainly helped with aiming.

The thumb grips certainly grip well with the little pimples on the grips ensuring that you won’t feel like your thumbs are slipping of the sticks.

Value for Money

The Mudder thumb grips are sold in a pack of 8 pairs and at only £4.99 per pack that is extremely good value for money considering they are very high quality. £4.99 for 8 pairs equates to only 62p per pair.

The thumb grips in the pack come in a variety of colours, which is great if you are looking to add a bit of colour and customisation to your DualShock 4 controller.

The thumg grips are also very easy to apply, you simply turn the thumg grips inside-out and pop them over the top of the analog stick and then make sure the edges of the thumb grips are fully over and underneath the rim of the the analog stick.

I highly recommend the Mudder Thumb Grips, they are superb value for money, easy to apply and the benefits you get when playing games, particularly FPS and multi-player games make these thumb grips essential for your DualShock 4 controller.
