There are a ton of new games coming to PS5, PS4 and PSVR2 this week. Well, mostly to PS5 and PS4, PSVR2 only has one new game this week.
Out of the 21 games coming out next week, not many of them appeal to me. But they might appeal to you and that’s all that matters. The big game coming out this week is of course EA Sports FC 25. The second instalment of Electronic Art’s football game after it lost the ability to use the FIFA name.
If football isn’t your thing or if you’re just sick of EA’s micro-transaction then you might want to check out Reynatis.
Reynatis is an action RPG coming to both PS5 and PS4 on September 27th. It’s from developer FuRyu who brought us similar RPG games like Monark and Trinity Trigger. Reynatis is set in the meticulously recreated streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. In a world where fantasy and reality collide, the citizens of Shibuya fear magic and the power it brings.
For PSVR2 this week there is sadly only one game, Encircled. Encircled is a tower defence game that places you in some nicely handcrafted maps with foes surrounding you. There’s loads of enemy variety and you will need to use every tool at your disposal, including some crafty tower placements, to beat the enemy and claim victory. Encircled is also out on September 27th.
If EA Sports and FC 26, Reynatis or Encircled don’t tickle your fancy. There is plenty more to choose from this week. You might be interested in Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed a remake of the classic 2010 platformer Epic Mickey. Judging by the deep dive trailer above it looks pretty cool, will it maybe give Astro Bot a run for its money? I doubt it.
