A nice selection of new games are coming to PS5, PS4 & PSVR2 this week. Among the smaller games and indie titles are a couple of bigger games, namely Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines 2 and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a third-person action shooter from Saber Interactive. From the gameplay I have seen it looks pretty good. If I didn’t already have Star Wars Outlaws and Astro Bot as my current games I am playing I might have picked this up. Space Marine 2 is out on Monday although some players have been playing it for a few days already thanks to early access. It gets generally favourable reviews on Xbox and PC on Metacritic so it might be worth your time and money.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is billed as an open world driving and lifestyle experience, whatver the hell that means. On paper it sounds good and on video it looks good but early reviews indicate it might be one to wait until it goes on sale. It get’s mixed or average reviews on Metacritic for the PS5 version.
If you like horror games then you might want to check out Unholy which is out of Friday the 13th. Unholy is a horror game developed by DUality games, graphically it looks very impressive and might be enough to scratch your horror itch until Silent Hill 2 comes out.
Virtual Reality Horrors
Horror is the them of the two PS VR2 games coming out this week as well. First up is Slender: The Arrival VR.

Slender: The Arrival is the official videogame adaptation of Slender Man; the paranormal phenomenon that has been terrifying the curious-minded all around the globe. Get ready to experience the terror like never before by entering the world of Slender: The Arrival in Virtual Reality. Slender: The Arrival VR is also out on September 13th.
Next up is anotehr PS VR2 game that is more adventure anbd puzzle game but defintley has a horror look and feel – Chernobyl Again. The gmae is set in a 3D scanned Chernobyl Exclusion Zone that the developers hpoe will provide a more immersive and engaging expeience. Where you’re goal will be to stop the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant explosion. Chernobyl Again is out on September 12th.
