With the release of Silent Hill 2 only a couple of days away and Haloween not too far off. Horror game fans might be screaming out for more survival horror games to play. Thankfully, the latest game in the Outbreak series, Outbreak Shades of Horror: Chromatic Split is heading to PS5. And it will be enhanced for PS5 Pro as well.
Outbreak Shades of Horror: Chromatic Split is releasing on Xbox and PC on October 25th. The press release for the game states that the PS5 and PS5 Pro Enhanced versions of the game will be coming “in autumn 2024.” But as it is already Autumn I am not sure if that is a typo. Mind you, Autumn does last until 21st December so it could very well be released on PS5 this year.
What is Outbreak Shades of Horror: Chromatic Split?
Outbreak Shades of Horror: Chromatic Split is a survival horror game built with Unreal Engine 5. Developer and publisher Dead Srop Studios promises spine-tingling survival horror gameplay and high-stakes exploration.
Check out the trailer fo the game below. The trailer shows some short gameplay but it looks pretty nice indeed. The game is certain to look incredible on PS5 Pro. One for PS5 horror game fans to keep an eye on I think.

Go back to the beginning of the end in the prologue to Dead Drops’ Studios upcoming Outbreak: Shades of Horror. Play as both the heroes and the villains of the outbreak as you attempt both to avoid an outbreak of epic proportions and to stop word from getting out.
As Lydia, a veteran police officer, race against time through the Cypress Ridge sewers to spread the truth of the Outbreak before it’s too late but beware there is more than sludge and rats waiting for her.
As Hank, keep sight of your target while navigating rooftop of insanity as he tries to stop the truth from coming to the surface. But remember, the higher you are, the harder you fall when the zombies attack!
Leads into the upcoming Outbreak: Shades of Horror, a spiritual successor to online survival horror from the early 2000s.

There is no set release date for the PS5 version of Outbreak Shades of Horror: Chromatic Split, only that it is coming in Autumn 2024. Barring any delays, the game should be released between October 25th and December 21st. The game is already on the PlayStation Store and can be added to your wishlist right now.
