Rise of the Ronin is a great action RPG game from Team Ninja. Release in March 2024, it is a PS5 exclusive. Not only is Rise of the Ronin a fantastic game with similarities to Ghost of Tsushima, it also has an excellent photo mode.

I was quite surprised by how good and in-depth Rise of the Ronin’s photo mode was. With some games, even AAA games, the photo mode can be quite basic. But with Rise of the ROnin, the photo mode was more full-featured, like that of Spider-Man 2 or The Last of Us Part 1. Or like any recent PlayStation first-party game.

Rise of the Ronin is an action RPG developed by Team Ninja and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

After three centuries of Shogunate rule, the Black Ships of the West descend upon Japan’s borders and the country falls into a state of turmoil. As a masterless samurai – a Ronin, take up your blade and shape the course of history in this open-world action-RPG

The photo mode has plenty of options to set the perfect scene and capture that perfect screenshot. There are plenty of different filter options including a cool silhouette filter. There are also many options that you would expect to find in almost any photo mode. But I was pleasantly surprised when I realised Rise of the ROnin’s photo mode had one of my favourite features – lighting.

The ability to add different light sources to a scene is great and can turn an otherwise dark scene into somethin more well lit.
