The June State of Play broadcast is just a day away and it will give us a look at some of the games coming to PlayStation VR2. We’ll need to wait until tomorrow to see what those games are but in the meantime, I thought I would try and hunt down all the confirmed PS VR2 games I could find.
The majority of games in this list have been confirmed by the developer, either in interviews, blog posts or Tweets. I have also included as-of-yet unannounced games that the developer has confirmed are coming to PS VR2.
In a recent financial report, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed that there are 20+ major titles coming to PS VR2 at launch. So some of the games in this list could very well be launch games. Indeed a couple of them have been confirmed as launch titles.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
Horizon Cal of the Mountain is the only first-party PS VR2 game that we know about so far. It was revealed by SIE head honcho Jim Ryan at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. Not a lot is known about Horizon Call of the Mountain but there’s a good chance we will see more from it at tomorrow’s State of Play. What we do know is that you won’t be playing as Aloy but you will meet her during the game.
Afterlife VR
Afterlife VR is an immersive horror game that has been confirmed as coming to PS VR2. The developer, Split Light Studio confirmed to PSVR Without Parole that is was heading to Sony’s next-gen VR headset in early 2023. Here’s a brief description of the game from the official website.

Is there any connection between missing patients and hospital workers and the groundbreaking study about the Indigo Children phenomena? Uncover the secrets hidden deep within the Black Rose mental hospital walls, where most of the patients pose a threat to themselves and to others. Look into the eyes of pure madness intrinsically linked with this place and its history.

VR developer nDreams (Fracked, Little Cities) revealed back in March that they were working on PlayStation VR2 games.
our strongest line-up is still ahead of us with exciting future projects already in development, including next-gen games for the much anticipated PlayStation VR2

Fast Travel Games Unannounced PS VR2 Titles
Fast Travel Games (Cities VR, Apex Construct) is another developer that has confirmed they are working on multiple PS VR2 titles. In their tweet below, they used the hashtag #morethanone to suggest they are working on at least two games for the PS5 VR headset.
Exactly what PS VR2 games Fast Travel is working on is not known. But if they are in development then there is a chance one of them could be revealed at tomorrow’s State of Play. Source: UploadVR
Pavlov Shack
Pavlov Shack is a multiplayer VR shooter with realistic weapon mechanics. The game features 5 v 5 competitive and social game modes. Pavlov looks pretty damn insane and very realistic. Check out this video of the game running on the Oculus Quest 2.
The developer of Pavlov Shack, davevillz confirmed via Twitter that Pavlov was coming to PS VR2 as PS VR did not have the fidelity required. The dev also confirmed that they had become a PlayStation partner in March 2021. So it seems pretty certain that Pavlov Shack will be coming to PlayStation VR2. Source: vrfinal.com
Runner
Developer Truant Pixel has confirmed that they are bringing their VR Motorbike racer/shooter to PlayStation VR2. Runner is an arcade-inspired racer that sees the player racing through levels and fighting off combat drones from the Caldara Corporation.
Truant Pixel has previously released a VR American Football game and they have also released themes and avatars for the PS3 and PS4. There is a possibility that Runner might be one of the PS VR2 games shown at tomorrow’s State of Play.
Hellsplit: Arena
Hellsplit: Arena from Deep Type Games is another VR horror game confirmed to be heading to PS VR2. Here’s a little bit about the game from the official blurb.
A VR horror-slasher in the dark fantasy world of the late Middle Ages filled with the undead. It is gruesome and realistic, with stabbing, cutting and blunt blows, grabs, kicks, and movement tactics — the outcome of each fight depends only on your skill and endurance.
Deep Type Games confirmed that Hellsplit: Arena was coming to PS VR2 in an interview over on PlayStation Brahs. When asked about the game coming to PS VR the developer said “Currently, we are more focused on PSVR 2. Insider information reveals that the second iteration of the SONY headset matches better with the specifics of our game.“
Samurai Slaughter House
Samurai Slaughter House is another hack and slash game confirmed for PS VR2. The game looks to be very different from your usual hack and slash game though and has some very stylised graphics. It also looks to have some pretty unique gameplay too. Take a look at this clip that shows a loot crate coming to life to attack the player with its giant tongue.
Developer Tab Games confirmed that Samurai Slaughter House is coming to PlayStation VR2 in their tweet below.

Another unannounced PS VR2 title, this time from First Contact Entertainment. First Contact previously brought Firewall Zero Hour and Solaris Offworld Combat to PS VR, so they know what they are doing when it comes to VR immersion.

Green Hell VR
Green Hell VR is an open-world survival game that takes place in the Amazon Rainforest. Developer Incuvo stated that Green Hell VR would be ported to PlayStation VR platforms. The press release does not specifically state PS VR2. However, it does state a 2023 release window so it is probably safe to say that it will be coming to PS VR2 and not PS VR1. Source: vrplayer.fr
That is all the confirmed PS VR2 games that I could find for now. No doubt there will be other games shown during tomorrow’s State of Play broadcast.
