I started using thumb grips on my PS4 DualShock 4 controller when I realised that the material covering the anolgue sticks was starting to wear away a bit. Now I have got to use PS4 thumb grips all the time, they just feel, better.
I am not a huge multiplayer gamer, the only real PvP game I play is Destiny’s PvP. I am not particularly great at it but using thumb grips definatley helps.
I find that thumb grips give me a little bit extra control and they just feel, well, more grippy. Even when I buy a brand new PS4 controller, I have to stick a set of thumb grip on.
My favourite thumb grips
By far my favourite thumb grips are from ORB, they are pretty cheap, currently only £3.34 on Amazon UK. In the pack you get 2 domed and 2 concave thumb grips, I prefer the domed ones for Destiny PvP but I do use the concave ones on my gold DualShock 4 for most other games.
If you don’t use thumb grips at the moment I highly reccomend giving them a try, especially if your analogue sticks are looking a bit worn.
