A recent poll of UK gamers suggests that PlayStation 5 is the preferred console of the next generation.
A survey conducted by research firm Experience12, and reported on by MCVUK, shows that 84% of the 3000 people surveyed were most excited about the PS5, compared with only 15% for Xbox Series X.
The survey also revealed that over half of the people quizzed were going to buy a next-gen console within 3-months of launch.
The poll was conducted between 25th June and 2nd July through MCM Comic Con’s online channels. 80% of respondents wherein the 18 – 34 age range while 59% were Male and 38% were Female.
Experiance12’s survey also shows that a massive 59% of people surveyed preferred to play on PlayStation. Xbox lags way behind in the polls, with only 17% saying that they prefer to play on Microsoft’s console.
Cyberpunk 2077, most anticipated game
Even though the game has been delayed until November, that hasn’t stopped Cyberpunk 2077 from being the most anticipated game.
The survey results show that CD Projekt’s upcoming first-person, sci-fi RPG is by far the most anticipated new release. With Marvel’s Avengers in second place.
The PS5 is expected to launch sometime in November and PlayStation Fans everywhere are eager to secure their pre-orders. With these survey results and the sheer amount of hype surrounding PS5, it looks like Sony is pretty much set to dominate the next-generation, just like it did this generation.
