PS5 Trailer App for Blue Box’s Abandoned Delayed to June 25th

Due to localization issues

Abandoned PS5 trailer app is now delayed to June 25th

The PS5 trailer app for the upcoming survival horror game Abandoned by Blue Box Game Studios has been delayed until June 25th the company has said.

The app for PS5 consoles, which is primarily to show trailers for the game in real-time was supposed to launch today, June 20th. However, Blue Box has tweeted that the launch of the app has been delayed by three days “due to localization issues.” The app will now launch on June 25th.

You might be wondering why the app launch date is now the 25th of June if it was delayed by three days and originally supposed to launch on the 20th of June. I am confused about that myself.

I can only assume that the app was delayed until the 22nd of June at some point.

So what is this app for and what does it do? Well, Blue Box Game Studios explained in a separate tweet:

The app covers all trailers and gameplay reveals. Each of them will be available in de app once they are individually available. I can confirm that this summer some of them will be available.

As well as Abandoned’s PS5 trailer app getting delayed for a few days, it also seems that the actual game might be delayed also. Abandoned was originally penciled in for release later this year. But it seems that may now not be the case according to a tweet posted a couple of days ago by the developer.

Blue Box Game Studios have also been embroiled in an online conspiracy as to whether Abandoned is actually Silent Hill and/or has something to do with famed Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima. But that’s probably not worth getting into.
