The PlayStation 5 was the top-selling console in the UK in October (just) according to a Tweet by GamesIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring. The PS5 narrowly beat the Xbox Series X & S to become the UK’s best-selling console last month.
Its good to see the PS5 doing well in the UK despite the price increase that saw Sony’s current-gen console rise in price to £479.99 for the disc edition and £389.99 for the digital edition.
In other PS5 news, Sony’s recent earnings announcement shows that the PS5 has sold 25 million units since launch. Sony has sold 5.7 million PS5 consoles in the current financial year to September 2022. This is up slightly from the 5.6 million PS5s sold for the same period last year.
