A couple of days ago, Concord developer Firewalk Studios announced that the game would be going offline. But apparently, this hasn’t thrown a massive spanner in the works of Sony’s live-service plans. According to GamessIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring, internally, Sony is “very positive” about Haven’s upcoming heist shooter Fairgame$.
Speaking on the Games Industry.biz Microcast (via Games Radar) Dring said that he has heard good things about Fairgame$.
“I’ve heard good things about Jad Raymond’s game, Fairgame. I’ve heard good things about that. I’ve heard internal chatter [at Sony] is very positive about it.” Dring said.
Fairgame$ is currently being developed by Haven Studios, a studio that Sony bought and was set up by former Assassin’s Creed co-creator Jade Raymond. Fairgame$ is quite different to Conrord in that it is like a heist-type shooter, similar to Payday.
Sony hopes to break into and become successful in the live-service market with Fairgame$ and a few other live-service games that are still in development. Fairgame% was revealed during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase.
