With the PlayStation 5’s increased graphical power comes great responsibility – for developers to provide an optimal playing experience for next-gen games. This should mean developers aiming for 4K 60 FPS on most AAA titles, particularly first-party PS5 exclusives.
Thankfully, Insomniac Games, creators of Spider-Man: Miles Morales – A PS5 launch title – have taken their responsibility seriously. Insomniac will provide an optional 4K / 60FPS mode for the upcoming open-world, web-swinging adventure.
News of this optional 4K resolution, 60 frames-per-second Performance Mode came in a recent Tweet by the Miles Morales developers.

According to the Tweet, you will be able to swing through the city like never before in an optional 4K / 60 FPS performance mode.
If 4K / 60 FPS is just an “optional” performance mode? What is the other option?
Some folks on Twitter are speculating that the 4K / 60 FPS performance mode won’t have Ray Tracing. Whereas a 30 FPS mode probably will have Ray Tracing.
Of course, we won’t know for sure until we get the game or Insomniac reveals more information about performance features.
