Elden Ring is a game that I will probably struggle to play, simply because it will be too difficult. I no doubt will try and play it, get frustrated, leave it for a while then come back to it and do a little bit better.
With Horizon Forbidden West still beckoning to be played (I’m probably less than halfway through the story) it does look like Elden Ring will be taking a back seat for a while. I will probably create a character and level up a bit, but I won’t be devoting much time to it until I have the platinum trophy for Horizon Forbidden West.
But while I wait on Elden RIng installing on my PS5, I thought I would share with you what’s inside the launch edition for the most highly anticipated game since Cyberpunk 2077.
What’s inside Elden Ring’s launch Edition?
I have to admit, I do like these new packages that games publishers are using to package certain editions of their games. The Elden Ring Launch Edition comes packaged in a glossy cardboard sleeve emblazoned with the game artwork. Inside the sleeve are the PS5 game disc box and a glossy card envelope containing the collectable goodies.
Inside the Launch Edition you get:
- The full game in it’s case
- a small poster
- stickers
- a sew on patch
- some postcards
The only thing that the Launch Edition doesn’t have is a SteelBook game case. Considering I paid £80 for the Horizon Forbidden West Special Edition, the £44.95 I paid for Elden RIng’s Launch Edition seems not too bad at all. Although I don’t regret buying the Horizon Forbidden West Special Edition, it is rather nice.
I am definitely impressed with the Elden RIng Launch Edition. Not only do you get what should be a pretty fantastic, albeit very hard open-world game, you also get a ton of other stuff with it. ALl this for only £44.95 from Amazon. Bargain.
Elden Ring is out now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
