The Last of Us HBO TV Show which is executive produced by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has been renewed for season 2 the Holly Wood Reporter has confirmed.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the show was renewed for a second season because of the show’s popularity and massive viewership. The premiere episode was watched by 22 million people. And the second episode’s ratings increased by 22%
Episode 1 of The Last of Us TV show can currently be watched on YouTube for free.
“I’m humbled, honoured, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey,” said executive producer Neil Druckmann. “The collaboration with Craig Mazin, our incredible cast and crew, and HBO exceeded my already high expectations. Now we have the absolute pleasure of being able to do it again with season two!”
The second season of The Last of Us HBO show is rumoured to follow the story of The Last of Us Part 2. Although no plans for season 2 have been revealed yet.
