The PS5 will have the very familiar BEEP sound when being powered on a Reddit user has noticed. The beep sound of the PS3 & PS4 powering on is almost iconic as the PlayStation symbols, so it’s good to know that the PS5 has this feature.
Reddit user u/MrOfMisters spotted the beloved beep sound when watching the PlayStation Access PS5 Unboxing video on YouTube.
The beep sound can be heard about 18 seconds into the video when the host powers on the PS5 console.
The familiar beep sound has been a staple part of the PlayStation since the PS3. Its familiar tone informs you when your console is powered on, either by pressing the power button on the console itself or by pressing the PS button on the controller.
It’s comforting to know that PlayStation 5 continues the trend of the iconic PlayStation power-on beep.
