During Tuesday night’s State of Play broadcast PlayStation announced a new collection of DualSense and PS5 console covers – The Chromas Collection. The three new colours shine, shimmer and shift colours from every angel. Snazzy.
The 3 new shiny, shimmery colours are:
- Chroma Pearl – moves through a range of chic pinks and creams.
- Chroma Indigo – shifts between deep blues and vivid purples.
- Chroma Teal – shimmers through several fresh shades of green.
We’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to launch this collection and are thrilled to take this next colorful step in our journey. With a sleek, multichromatic finish that wrap around the entire controller, you’ll notice we’ve carefully refined the colors of every DualSense element to perfectly complement the playful, iridescent transitions.
The Chroma DualSense wireless controllers will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of $79.99 USD/¥11,980 (including tax)/€79.99/£69.99. The Chroma PS5 console covers for PlayStation 5 console (model group – slim) will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of $64.99 USD/¥8,980 (including tax)/€64.99/£54.99.
Pre-orders for the Chroma Collection will begin on October 3, 2024, with Chroma Pearl and Chroma Indigo accessories launching on November 7, 2024, followed by the launch of Chroma Teal accessories on January 23, 2025. Launch date and availability for the accessories may vary by region, so be sure to check your local retailer for availability.
Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense
As well as the shiny new Chroma Collection of DUalSense controllers and PS5 console covers, PlayStation also announced the Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense.
The Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense controller will feature fan favourite characters Fishstick and Peely. This Limited Edition Fortnite DualSense will be available in limited quantities for $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99 / ¥12,480 MSRP and will be available for pre-order starting October 3, 2024 and launching globally starting November 7, 2024. The exact launch date and availability for the controller may vary by region. You’ll be able to pre-order from PlayStation Direct when pre-orders go live.
