A live-action ‘Live from PS5’ ad shown on TV has tricked PlayStation Fans into thinking that Insomniacs Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was coming out earlier than expected. Originally posted on Reddit, the live-action advert shows a news reporter reporting on Spider-Man capturing a gang of criminals.
The ad has text at the bottom which says Spider-Man 2 is ‘coming Spring 2023’ but Australian fans have confirmed that this is an Australian TV ad, and Australian Spring is from September to November. The same as Fall or Autumn in the US and Europe.
So, sadly Sony isn’t releasing Spider-man 2 earlier than expected and we’ll still have to wait until later this year to get our hands on it. Nonetheless, the live-action ad looks pretty cool. Here’s an HD version of it posted by Reddit user /u/Clarkey7163 on Streamable.
There is also a live-action ad for Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores as well, which you can see below. Also posted to Streamable by Clarkey7163.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has no specific release date yet but is expected to release in the Autumn (or Fall if you’re in North America), that’s between 23rd December and 22nd December.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores launches on April 19th for PS5.
