Developer Don’t Nod has released a Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden story trailer ahead of the game’s February 13th launch date.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a single-player action RPG game set in a semi-open world. Banishers features an emotionally charged story and the story trailer reveals a tale of love, sacrifice and tragic fate.
New Eden, 1695: Antea and Red are lovers and Banishers, trained spirit-hunters, protecting people from lingering specters. But when tragedy strikes and Antea herself becomes a ghost, the catastrophic turn of events leaves Red torn between upholding their oath to protect the living from malevolent spirits and save Antea from her condition.
Banishers stars Scottish actor Russ Bain who recently starred in the Netflix film Lift. The game has been described as “giving off The Witcher vibes.”
Over the last couple of weeks Don’t Nod has released several trailers that have delved deeper into the game’s combat and showcased the skills of the main characters, such as Red’s Banisher Skills. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a game that peaked my interest a while ago and it certainly seems to have quite a few things that I enjoy in games. It even has a photo mode.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launches on PS5 on February 13tha and can be pre-ordered now.
