A Peaceful Exploration Game
In Narcalid you play as an ambassador. There are four ambassadors who find themselves on a mysterious new planet after their spacecraft is sabotaged. If you play solo, you have the ability to switch seamlessly between each of the four ambassadors on the fly. Or you can invite up to three friends on your journey with each taking on the role of one of the playable characters.
Each ambassador has a unique tool from platform-moving beams to particles that can manipulate organic life. The ambassadors will work together to traverse the New World, from exploring mysterious ruins to trudging through the ooze-infested jungles.
Peaceful exploration is favoured over precision gameplay in Narcalid, rewarding players for exploring every nook and cranny in the curious environments of the New World. Delving deeper into the mysterious offerings of the different biomes will unravel new secrets, technologies, and real-life meditation techniques for you to wield.
Meditation seems to be a key mechanic in Narcalid’s gameplay. Not only will you discover titanous creatures to either befriend or defeat you will also discover meditation techniques to harness the power of nature. But, can you harness enough power to stop the Narcalid Mother before she becomes too powerful?
Lotus Mountain Creative is planning to bring Narcalid to PlayStation 5 in Q3 of 2024. To stay up to date with the game make sure to follow Narcalid on Twitter.
