Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has become the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game in PlayStation History selling 2.5 million copies in just 24 hours.
Spider-Man 2 was released only a few days ago on November 20th. The game has gained universal acclaim on Metacritic with a high Metascore of 90 and a User Score of 9.0.
News of the amazing sales feat for Spider-man 2 was posted on Sony Interactive Entertainment’s blog and to X. Spider-Man 2 is the third game in the franchise after Spider-Man (2018) and Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020).
Spider-Man 2 was developed by Insomniac Games, who also developed the first two Spider-Man games as well as the Ratchet and Clank games. The PlayStation Studio developer is also working on the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game which is expected to launch sometime next year.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 sees players take on the role of both Peter Parker’s and Miles MOrales’ Spider-Man as they fight against The Hunters led by the villain Kraven. The game features jaw-dropping action and the fastest, smoothest traversal I have ever seen in a game.
The addition of the Web Eings makes moving around New York the most fun experience I have had in an open-world game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out now on PlayStation 5.
