PS VR2 has been nominated for Best Gaming Hardware at the 2023 Golden Joystick Awards. Also nominated is Horizon Call of the Mountain for Best VR Game.
The 41st annual Golden Joystick Awards takes place on November 10th with the winners revealed during a live event.

PlayStation VR2 launched in February of this year and was a massive leap from the original PS VR in terms of graphics and features. Horizon Call of the Mountain, developed by Firesprite and Guerrilla Games launched at the same time. The VR adventure game takes place in the world of Horizon and you play as Ryas a Shadow Carja warrior who was imprisoned and given a chance at freedom if he investigates a threat to the Sundom.
Although you don’t get to play as Aloy in Horizon Call of the Mountain you do meet her during the story.
Nominees
Several other big-name PS5 games have also been nominated for a 2023 Golden Joystick Award. Baldur’s Gate 3, Final Fantasy 16, Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Dreams are all up for awards. No Man’s Sky is also up for an award under the Still Playing category.
Also nominated is Baby Steps which is nominated for Best Game Trailer for it’s funny reveal trailer at the State of Play earlier this month. Death Stranding 2 also makes an appearance in the Most Wanted Game category.
