Hello Games has recently released the Echoes Update for No Man’s Sky. As previous No Man’s Sky updates, Echoes adds a ton of new stuff to the game, including a new robotic race called the Autophage, new story missions and so much more. But for PSVR2 players of No Man’s Sky one very important feature was added p- Foveated Rendering.
Since the Echoes update, PS VR2 fans have been praising No Man’s Sky, especially its visuals and some are calling it PS VR2’s killer app.
One particular Hello Games employee, who worked on implementing foveated rendering into No Man’s Sky for PS VR2 is receiving a lot of praise for his efforts. Martin Griffith told fans on X (formerly Twitter) that it took him four months to enable foveated rendering on PS VR2.
Fans are so impressed with the visual quality of No Man’s Sky now that one Redditor even made an Employee of the Month award for Martin Griffith.
I Played No Man’s Sky on PS VR2 the other night and I have to say, the game looks incredible now on PlayStation VR2. I just wish I could get the hang of the ship controls in VR and I would probably never play it flat again.
