Exciting news on the PlayStation VR2 front as Sony has revealed the official name of its PS5 next-gen VR headset to be…PlayStation VR2. But seriously though, it is pretty exciting to be getting more info on Sony’s next-gen offering.
The official name was revealed by Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan at CES 2022. Jim also announced the official name for the PS VR2 controllers, which are called the Sense controllers.

Jim Ryan’s presentation and subsequent blog post on the PlayStation Blog also revealed the full specs for the PlayStation VR2. And it looks like it’s a pretty powerful piece of kit, which rival or surpass other VR headsets on the market.
Sony has yet to announce when exactly we will get to don this exciting next-gen PlayStation VR headset and get those awesome looking sense controllers in our hands.
The new headset design has also to be shown but it sounds like we’ll get all that juicy info soon enough.
