The Cal Kestis actor was speaking at a Comic-Con panel when he confirmed the news of a third Star Wars Jedi game. As reported by Insider Gaming, Monaghan said during the panel “We’re working on a third and we’re in the process of doing that right now.”

The actor continued “That’s been a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far, but hopefully when all things and said and done we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool.”

Stig Asmussen, who directed the first two Star Wars Jedi games recently left Respawn Entertainment. It is not known who will take on the director’s role for the third game.

It is not known how far along in the development process is. But with most big games that get a sequel development on the sequel generally starts just after or just before the previous game is complete. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor released in April this year, so it could be a while before we here any more news about Star Wars Jedi 3.
