Democracy almost prevailed this week as Helldivers 2 has climbed to second place in the UK PS5 boxed chart. In the PS5 chart, that means Helldivers 2 gained one place from last week. Arrowhead’s third-person shooter is also doing well in the all-formats chart, where the game gained three places to reach fourth position.
GamesIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring tweeted earlier in the week that Helldivers 2 physical sales in the UK were up 20% from its launch week. Dring said that two consecutive weeks of sales rises were “very rare.”
Helldivers 2 was just beaten to the top spot of the UK PS5 boxed chart by EA Sports FC 24.
Elsewhere in the PS5 chart, Hogwarts Legacy gained two places to magically appear at number three. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 remains webbed in place at number four and spends its 19th week in the chart.
Interestingly, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has re-entered the PS5 physical top 10 at number seven as has Wreckfest which re-enters in eighth place. Another Star Wars game has also re-entered the UK PS5 chart this week, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has re-entered at number 10.
Ubisoft’s pirate game Skull and Bones which debuted last week at number one has almost sunk as it drops eight places to ninth.
