Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones has managed to dock itself in the top spot of the UK PS5 boxed charts. That’s despite less-than-stellar reviews from critics and gamers alike.
The Black Flag-like pirate action adventure currently has a metascore of 63 for the PS5 version. The user score is even more dismal with generally unfavourable reviews and a score of 3.1.
Despite the low review scores, Skull and Bones has managed to entice PS5 fans in the UK who have gotten the title to number 1 on the PS5 chart. The game developed by Ubisoft Singapore only managed to make it to number 4 in the all-formats chart though.
Elsewhere on the PS5 boxed chart, EA Sports FC 24 managed to knock Helldivers 2 down to third. Helldivers 2 has been extremely popular since its launch on February 8th. With so many people trying to play the game, it ended up having server problems. Arrowhead Game Studio’s live-service offering is still suffering from server issues even now with its CEO recently saying players should hold off on buying it until the problems are fixed. Helldivers 2 fans are even staying logged in overnight to avoid server queues.
Also in the UK PS5 boxed chart, Spider-Man 2 is still going strong and remains firmly perched in fourth place. Hogwarts Legacy, which re-entered the chart last week gains a few places to number 5. And Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League which debuted at number one two weeks ago, has fallen 5 places to number 6.
