Death Stranding 2 was officially announced at The Game Awards in December 2022. Kojima has provided several smaller updates since then but the title has always remained ass ‘Death Stranding 2 (Working Title)’.

Dealabs believes that an official announcement of the game title is imminent, sometime in the next couple of weeks. The site thinks that an official announcement about the game title and possible release date could come via a State of Play in February or from a separate announcement from Hideo Kojima.

Death Stranding 2 or as it may now be known Death Stranding 2 – On The Beach currently has a vague release window of somewhere between 2024 and 2025. The game also sees the return of several characters from the first game. Norman Reedus returns as an older Sam Porter Bridges, Troy Baker as Higgs Monaghan and Léa Seydoux as Fragile. Death Stranding 2 also stars Ellie Fanning in a currently unknown role.
