Free PS Plus Games for June are COD WW2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2

A pair of shooters for June

Shooter games seem to be the theme of June’s FREE PlayStation Plus games. The European PlayStation Blog has just revealed that Call of Duty World War 2 and Start Wars Battlefront 2 will be the free PS Plus games for June.

Call of Duty World War 2 was made available for free a bit earlier on the 26th of May. Here I was thinking that COD WW2 was just a wee extra bonus game. And there would have been another two games for free. Turns out it was just part of the June PS Plus lineup.

The PS Plus games for June doesn’t seem to be too bad. I’m not particularly interested in Call of Duty anymore, so COD WW2 can get a miss.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 free on PS Plus for June
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is one of the free PS Plus games for June

However, Star Wars Battlefront 2 looks like it could be fun for a while. Battlefront 2 has a single-player and multiplayer game mode. I am definitely interested in playing the single-player mode.

The game did cause a bit of a hoo-ha on its release. Due to controversies surrounding loot-boxes and microtransactions. Which made EA temporarily remove all microtransactions from the game.

Microtransactions and loot boxes aside, Battlefront 2 looks like fun enough. Good enough to waste a few hours anyway. The game has had numerous content updates since release. Over 26 of them apparently. Sounds like there will be a lot to do.

Another pretty decent pair of free PS Plus games for June. Call of Duty World War 2 is already available to download now for free. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be available to download from the 2nd of June.
