Classic point-and-click adventures Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle look set to be heading to PS5. That’s according to the Taiwan Games Rating Board, which has rated the titles for PS5, as spotted by Gematsu on X.
Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle were originally released in the 1990’s. However, the games got PS4 remasters in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively. Originally developed by LucasArts, the remasters were brought to PS4 by Double FIne Productions. The remasters are published by Disney Interactive.
All three games are playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility. The PS5 versions could mean that they are going to appear on PlayStation Plus at some point as part of the Classics Catalogue.
I’ve played all three of the aforementioned games and they are all pretty great. They are really enjoyable to play and platinum. The only game I missed the platinum trophy on was Grim Fandango Remastered because I didn’t use the tank controls from the start of the game. You can check out my review of Grim Fandango Remastered to see what I thought about it.
It seems that these three classic point-and-click adventures could be headed to PS5 soon. Hopefully as part of the classics catalogue.
