As we approach the end of the year this coming week sees yet another week of tremendous game releases for PS5, PSVR2 and PS4. There are not really any big-name games this week but nonetheless, there are definitely some standouts among the hoards of indie titles.
Teardown, an action sim with sully destructible and interactive environments makes it debut day one on PlayStation Plus this week. My personal pick for this week is Flashback 2. It’s a sequel to Flashback, which first launched way back in the early 90s on the Commodore Amiga. I remember Flashback fondly for its 2D action platforming. Flashback did get a 25th anniversary edition for PS4 but I have been looking forward to the sequel for some time. Everything in Flashback 2 just looks updated and modernised and it’s sure to be a hit with fans when it comes out on November 16th.
Also worth a mention is Christmas Massacre, an 80s-inspired horror slasher game. The game is so full of gore and bloodshed that PlayStation was the only console platform holder to allow it on its platform.
PlayStation VR2 releases are a bit light this week but there is the Japanese romance game Koi-Koi: Love Blossoms if you like that sort of thing.
