The official UK boxed charts data for the week ending 4th of November has been released. And no surprise but Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is still at the top of the PS5 boxed chart. Last week, Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 slipped into second place in the all-formats chart. Sadly Spidey has dropped another place in the all-format chart this week. But we’re here to talk about the PS5 boxed chart.
On that front, the web-swinging duo of Peter and Miles are still very much perched on the top spot. The Spider-Men are now sitting comfortably in first place, for the third week in a row.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launched on October 20th to critical and fan acclaim, with some players calling it the best superhero game ever. And they are not wrong. I just finished the main story over the weekend and every minute I was playing that game I was absolutely blown away. The story, the combat, and the open-world traversal all melded together perfectly to create one incredible experience.
Elsewhere in the UK PS5 Boxed Charts
Now that I have suitably praised Spider-Man 2 and celebrated its continued reign at the top of the PS5 chart, let’s take a look at the other games. Still in second place is EA Sports FC 24, EA’s FIFA game that isn’t called FIFA just doesn’t have the stamina to outpace the amazing Spider-Men it seems.
A new entry in at number 3 is Robocop: Rogue City. Teyon’s take on the original 1987 movie has garnered much praise. It’s a game I want to play myself but, the wallet was barren this month after AC Mirage and Spider-Man 2. I’ll get it later in the month when the wallet is suitably replenished. Will I buy it for a Dollar? Nah, it will probably cost me a few pounds.
Up one place to number 4 in the UK PS5 boxed chart is the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Fans seem to like Ubisoft’s efforts to take the game back to the series’ roots as it remains pretty steady in its chart positioning.
Another mover and shaker is Hogwarts Legacy for PS5. The fantastic Wizarding World RPG moves up one place to number 5. Magic!
