Spider-Man 2 Lands 9 Nominations at the 20th BAFTA Games Awards

The Spider-Men take on Baldur’s Gate 3 at this years BAFTA Games Awards

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2, which recently got a New Game Plus update has landed a total of nine nominations at this year’s BAFTA Games Awards.

Only one other game, Baldur’s Gate 3 got more nominations. Balduer’s Gate 3 received 10 nominations this year, so it looks like the Spider-Men are going head-to-head with the CRPG.

Spider-Man 2’s categories include Animation, Game Design, Technical Achievement and Best Game. Actors Nadji Jeter(Miles Morales) and Tony Todd(Venom) also received nods for Best Performer in a Leading Role and Performer in a Supporting Role respectively.

PSVR2 launch title Horizon Call of the Mountain also got a nomination in the Technical Achievement category. Hello Games’ long-running space game No Man’s Sky is also up for an award in the Evolving Game category.

Puzzle game Viewfinder which is developed by Scottish developer Sad Owl Studios is also up for two BAFTA’s. The puzzle game which is all about challenging perception is up for Best British Game and Debut Game.

Other big-name games up for awards include Alan Wake 2 and Hogwarts Legacy.
