The Last of Us Part 2 Shoots to the Top of the UK Gaming Charts

Straight to number 1

The Last of Us Part 2 was only released on Friday and has already blasted it’s wat to the top of the UK boxed games charts. This makes the critically acclaimed PS4 exclusive from Naughty Dog the fastest-selling Sony game of this generation according to Gameindustry.biz.

The story-driven action game has beaten Ring Fit Adventure for Nintendo Switch to take the illustrious top spot on the All Formats charts. This makes The Last of Us Part 2 the biggest selling physical boxed game of the year so far.

The game is of course also at the top of the PS4 UK charts, easily dribbling past Fifa 20 to plant one right in the top of the net.

It is no surprise that The Last of Us Part 2 has sold so well, the game is phenomenal. It has fantastic gameplay, a great setting and an engaging story that doesn’t make me want to skip cutscenes.

Although the game has been highly praised by game reviewers and actual game critics, The Last of Us Part 2 is sitting with a user score of 3.9 on Metacritic. But don’t take this user score as an indication of the quality of the game. This user score is probably Xbox fanboys review bombing, due to the fact that Xbox really doesn’t have any notable exclusives.

The Last of Us Part 2 has also helped the first game succeed in the UK PS4 boxed charts. The Last of Us is still in the top 10, currently sitting in 5th place, above games like Red Dead Redemption 2. The Last of Us has now spent an incredible 115 weeks in the charts.

If you’re still on the fence about buying The Last of Us Part 2 then get off the fence and go get a copy. The game really is incredible and is worth every penny.
