The game description has been leaked for Ubisoft’s next Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The leak comes via what appears to be a PS4 event page created and hosted by Ubisoft. The photo of the game event page, taken presumably on a mobile phone, comes courtesy of a Reddit user named falconbox, who posted the photo on the PS4 and XBox One Reddit pages about 5 hours ago.
From the photo we can see what looks like an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey game release event page created by Ubisoft.
There is also a couple of dates and it appears the event Monday June 11th and ends Monday June 18th, so perhaps this is some event to tie in with E3.
On the top left of the photo we can also see what appears to be the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey key art.
The game description for Assassin’s Cread Odyssey according to the photo and the user who originally posted it reads:
“Take control of your destiny and write your own epic odyssey as you journey to become a legendary spartan hero. Live incredible adventures in a world where every choice matters. Rejected by your family, you must embark on an adventure from outcast mercenary to legendary Spartan hero. To uncover the truth about your past”
There’s also a final bit of text which reads: “Watch the world premier trailer”, so it definitely seems that the event is for the world premier of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The game description would certainly tie and and confirm what we already know about the game, that the Spartans are involved, it possible takes place in Ancient Greece, possibly during the Roman Sparta era.
Although the image does appear genuine, it’s worth taking with a grain of salt at the moment as a proper screenshot could have been provided instead of a cell phone photo.
If the photo is genuine and the dates of the event are correct, then we will have confirmation soon enough as there should be a trailer for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey premiered some time next week.
