Assassin’s Creed Origins Second Expansion Gets a Release Date Too

The second expansion, Curse of the Pharaohs will release on March 6th and there will also be a FREE Discovery Tour mode

Curse of the Pharaohs scorpions

Earlier this week Ubisoft gave us a release date for the first Assassin’s Creed Origins expansion, The Hidden Ones which will be launched on the 23rd of January. Ubisoft have also dropped the release date of the second expansion and some information about it in a recent news post.

The second expansion to Assassin’s Creed Origins will be called Curse of the Pharaohs and will be releasing on March 6th.

Curse of the Pharaohs will pit Bayek against mythical beasts and undead pharaohs in a strange new realm, it will be available as part of the season pass or as a seperate purchase.

As with The HIdden Ones, Curse of the Pharaohs will also raise the level cap and introduce new abilities so we can push Bayek even further and maybe even turn Bayek in to some kind of super Medjay, ninja assassin or something like that.

Discovery Tour

There wil also be another expansion or mode coming before Curse of the Pharaohs. Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt is an educational expansion that will transform the game in to a violence free living museum.

This expansion will let us dig in to the realities of Cleopatra’s Egypt and will have guided tours curated by Egyptologists and Historians, or you can just free rome through Ancient Egypt.

The Discovery Tour mode will be available to all Assassin’s Creed Origins owner for FREE and will be out on February 20th.

This Discover Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt mode sounds really good. Playing through Assassin’s Creed Origins has definatley got me more interested in Ancient Egypt and the guided tours sound like they will be very insightful and educational.

Just a quick note on The Hidden Ones expansion, it looks like we will have to fight giant scorpions in The HIdden Ones. Ubisoft released a handful of screenshots and DLC art earlier this week and one of the images was of Bayek battling with two huge scorpions. The image, which I’ve got at the top of this article is titled “ACO_DLC_01_Screenshot_ScorpionFight” and they remind me of the giant radscorpions from Fallout 4.
