Reliable and often accurate insider Tom Henderson has reaffirmed that PlayStation VR2 will launch in Quarter 1 of 2023. In a recent Twitter thread, Henderson was asked by one of his followers iif he thinks Sony will ship PS VR2 for a holiday 2022 release. In his reply, Henderson states that “That last I heard it was Q1 2023.”
Tom Henderson is not the only insider to be going with the early 2023 launch window for PlayStation VR2. PS VR YouTube channel PS VR Without Parole has also claimed that Sony’s latest VR headset won’t launch until Q1 2023.
Sony itself has also seemingly confirmed a 2023 launch for PS VR2. In a recent State of Play broadcast, which showcased a handful of games coming to the next-gen headset, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2 was revealed to be coming to PSVR1 later this year. However, the trailer stated that it wouldn’t be coming to PS VR2 until 2023.
