The UK’s gaming boxed charts for the week ending 28th October 2023 were released yesterday. And although Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been knocked off the top of the all-formats chart by Super Mario Wonder, Insomniac’s critically acclaimed masterpiece is still at the top of the PS5 boxed charts.
Yes, Spidey has fallen slightly in the all-formats chart since swinging into the top spot just after the game’s release. But as far as PS5 fans are concerned. the game is still number one.
Spider-Man 2 spends its second week at the top of the PS5 boxed chart in the UK. It keeps EA’s FC 24 at bay which still holds firm in second place. Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, released last week on October 24th makes its debut in the chart at No. 3.
Another new entry into the UK PS5 boxed chart is UFC 5. EA’s Mixed Martial Arts game kicked and punched its way into 4th place knocking Assassin’s Creed Mirage down one place to fifth.
Street Fighter 6 re-enters the UK PS5 boxed chart this week. Capcom’s fighting game couldn’t quite beat off UFC 5 though and squeezes back into the chart at No. 6. Street Fighter 6 did manage to slap GTA V down a notch though.
Rockstars 5th instalment of the Grand Theft Auto series, which launched back on the Magnavox Odyssey (yes, I know it came out on the PS3 but it really does seem that long ago since GTA 5 was first released) has slipped down a place to number 7.
Also re-entering the Top 10 of the UK PS5 boxed charts last week was Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate. MK 11 was a PS5 launch title and it looks like fans are clambering to buy the physical version of the game since it is only £20 on Amazon.
